A local resident of Volgograd Oblast turned to law enforcement after losing almost 4 million rubles in an attempt to profit from trading cryptocurrencies.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ press service, the victim, who works as the chief accountant of one of the dental clinics, found information about earnings from cryptocurrency on one of the sites. After some time she saw profit from investments and decided to invest another 3 million rubles. To do this she took out a loan from a bank.
“A few days ago the Volgograd resident decided to recover the invested funds, but she could not do so – the traders’ phone numbers of the online exchange were unavailable, and her emails remained unanswered,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Earlier in Penza lost more than 3.5 million rubles to cryptocurrency scammers.
