Web3 game Gods Unchained arrives on Epic Games Store

The blockchain-based collectible card game Gods Unchained has been added to the Epic Games Store.

Executive producer Daniel Paez said the move marks an expansion of Web3-gaming to a broader audience.

The game is developed by the Immutable platform. In March 2023, the company raised $200 million at a valuation of $2.5 billion.

“Gods Unchained is one of the few blockchain games that is part of a larger, well-financed company. We are currently at a turning point for the project, and the next six months look to be among the most exciting in our long history,” Paez said.

According to him, the team is currently developing internal governance mechanisms and also working on potential changes to the economic model.

According to The Block, from June 11 to 18, Gods Unchained accounted for 92% of NFT trading volume outside the gaming market on the Ethereum blockchain.

Earlier, Immutable entered into a partnership with Polygon to accelerate the development and deployment of Web3 games. Under the agreement the company intends to use the zero-knowledge proofs technology from the project.

Previously, Immutable introduced a cryptocurrency wallet aimed at blockchain gamers. The Passport project is also used to manage player profiles and authentication.
