YouTube Introduces AI-Powered Music Creation Service for Videos

YouTube has launched a new feature employing artificial intelligence to create background music and integrate it into videos.

The service is being gradually rolled out to users of the Creator Music library. The platform aims to simplify the process for creators to find audio tracks for their videos.

Those with access to the new solution now have a Music Assistant button. This tool allows users to input prompts with details of the desired composition and use suggestions.

Once a track is generated, it can be uploaded to a video. The music is free to use, eliminating copyright issues.

In September 2024, YouTube announced the integration of DeepMind’s AI model for video generation, Veo, into its Shorts service.

Earlier, the platform began testing a feature for brainstorming ideas, titles, and thumbnails for videos.
