Update from the Liquid Federation: The Liquid Federation is pleased to announce that the network’s bitcoin reserves have been fully restored, reestablishing 1:1 BTC backing for all LBTC. This follows the restoration of BTC<>LBTC swaps several weeks ago, which have since allowed users to move between Bitcoin and Liquid at a 1:1 rate through participating swap providers. Together, these milestones represent significant progress in the Federation’s recovery efforts and reaffirm its commitment to the long-term security, stability and resilience of the Liquid Network. As always, the network’s bitcoin reserves are independently verifiable. Users operating their own Liquid nodes can directly verify the Federation’s Proof of Reserves, while reserve balances and network activity can be monitored through the public dashboard at https://t.co/M46Zhn8nlY. В сентябре уязвимость в программном обеспечении Elements позволила создать около 4000 необеспеченных L-BTC. Затем их использовали для вывода биткоинов через кошелек и торговую платформу SideSwap, участника Федерации с ключом авторизации вывода средств.
В Liquid заявили, что операторы сети не подверглись взлому, а приватные ключи не были скомпрометированы. Разработчики выпустили исправление уязвимости, после чего сеть возобновила производство блоков и обработку пользовательских транзакций.
Обмен BTC на L-BTC и обратно через участвующих провайдеров восстановили примерно две недели назад.
Liquid пересмотрит управление и меры безопасности
Федерация также сообщила о подготовке изменений в структуре управления сетью, усилении надзора и дополнительных технических и операционных мерах защиты. Подробности инициатив обещают раскрыть в ближайшие недели.
Пользователи могут самостоятельно проверять обеспечение L-BTC через собственные узлы Liquid. Балансы резервов и активность сети также доступны на публичной панели мониторинга проекта.
