Saint Petersburg doctor loses 800,000 rubles in bid to invest in cryptocurrencies

A man who fell victim to scammers in an attempt to profit from cryptocurrency trading turned to law enforcement in Saint Petersburg, according to MK.ru.

In June, on one of the websites, the doctor met a woman who persuaded him to transfer funds to invest in the platform ‘BTC GENERATION’.

After the man transferred 800 thousand rubles, the scammer stopped contacting him.

Earlier, a resident of Yekaterinburg invested 2.3 million in cryptocurrency, but later could not withdraw the funds.
