CoinEx adds Russian language support

CoinEx adds Russian language support and CIS fiat payment expansion.

The cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx has added Russian language support. ForkLog was informed of this by Eddie Jiang, CoinEx’s marketing director.

The exchange has translated its trading interface and part of its help pages into Russian. News and announcements will also be published in Russian.

CoinEx’s CMO Eddie Jiang said that in the near term the exchange would complete the translation of the documentation and expand the list of payment systems supporting CIS fiat currencies.

“We monitor the development of the cryptocurrency market in various countries: we analyse data on the popularity of cryptocurrencies and track citizens’ interest in investments. Russia is among the countries with developing markets; there are many active communities and high-quality blockchain projects here.

According to the report by World Gold Council, cryptocurrency is the fifth most popular investment among Russians. In 2020, the number of users from Russia and the CIS on CoinEx grew, so we adapted the exchange for them,” he noted.

Currently, CoinEx cooperates with payment processors Simplex, Mercuryo and MoonPay. Users can purchase cryptocurrency for rubles using Visa and Mastercard bank cards.

Eddie Jiang outlined CoinEx’s plans to grow the Russian-speaking community: the platform will host trading contests, events and prize drawings.

“After the COVID-19 pandemic, we will hold offline meetups to meet the Russian-speaking traders and investors. We want to work with local companies and communities that share our values to develop the CIS cryptocurrency market together. For this, we will create a Russian-speaking team at CoinEx and, over time, open an office in Russia,” explained CoinEx’s CMO Eddie Jiang.

CoinEx — a cryptocurrency exchange with spot trading and perpetual contracts. The platform supports 181 cryptocurrencies and 388 trading pairs.

The exchange was founded in 2017 with the support of mining equipment manufacturer Bitmain and is part of the ViaBTC Group ecosystem. In addition to the crypto exchange, the ViaBTC Group ecosystem includes the ViaBTC large mining pool, the decentralised CoinEx Chain exchange and the ViaWallet crypto wallet.

In January, according to a survey by Bank Otkritie, 63% of Russians stated their desire to acquire cryptocurrencies.
