EXMO launches margin trading

The cryptocurrency exchange EXMO announced the completion of beta testing of the margin platform. Trading on EXMO Margin began on 7 April. This was reported in the exchange’s blog.

Until April 14, 2021, the maker fee on EXMO Margin was 0%, the taker fee was 0.01%. During this period the platform also offered a 90% discount on financing fees. After April 14, the maker fee would remain the same, and the taker fee would rise to 0.05%.

Beta testing of EXMO Margin took place in March 2021. It involved 150 EXMO traders.

\n\n

\”The main condition for early access was storing EXM in wallets. Users showed strong interest in the exchange’s new features and began buying tokens. This triggered a price rise: since the start of the year, EXM has risen 2100% and hit an all-time high of $0.089,\” the exchange team commented.

\n\n

The platform operates on a CFD broker model (Contract For Difference, a contract on price difference). On a spot exchange, the trader formally owns the asset. CFD enables trading without owning the asset, and also allows earning from price declines.

EXMO Margin supports:

\n\n

• trading pairs BTC/USD, ETH/USD and XRP/USD, ADA/USD, LTC/USD, DASH/USD, ZEC/USD, BCH/USD, TRX/USD and DOGE/USD;
• leverage up to 3x;
• market, limit, stop, stop-limit and trailing-stop orders;
• the ability to edit positions and orders on the chart;
• closing a position with a market order in one click;
• a large set of tools for technical analysis.

In the future the exchange plans to increase leverage and expand the list of trading pairs.

EXMO is a British cryptocurrency exchange offering 190 trading pairs. The platform has been operating since 2013 and serves 1.8 million clients. EXMO advocates for regulation of the crypto industry and adheres to AML/KYC policies. In December 2020, the exchange received temporary registration from the United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
