Binance Smart Chain Ecosystem Development Fund Invests in GameFi Platform Crypto Gaming United

The Binance Smart Chain Ecosystem Development Fund (BSC) with a capital of $1 billion invested in the Crypto Gaming United (CGU) crypto gaming platform. Representatives of the project told ForkLog.

The deal amount was not disclosed.

The main focus of CGU is to build a global community of gamers focused on online video games using NFT.

“The metaverse opens up many opportunities both in the DeFi space and beyond. For us, this means investing in the economic potential of virtual worlds, enabling members of the gaming community to play their favorite games and earn,” said Alex Odagiu, investment manager of the BSC Ecosystem Development Fund.

CGU plans to drive economic activity in metaverses for 1,000,000 people by 2024. The project also aims to facilitate NFT withdrawals in countries hardest hit by the pandemic and unemployment, especially among youth.

According to the press release, the BSC Ecosystem Development Fund has already supported more than 300 blockchain projects.

Earlier $100 million fund for investments in blockchain games was launched by the gaming platform Gala Games and venture firm C² Ventures.
