“The exchange operates in full compliance with Brazil’s regulatory framework and believes that regulation is the only way for the digital asset industry to grow and reach a broader audience,” the statement said.
According to the company, Binance has been focusing on scaling its operations in Brazil since March, when CEO Changpeng Zhao first visited the country. The unit footprint in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro will number more than 150 employees.
Earlier, Binance registered as a financial services provider in New Zealand and opened a local subsidiary.
In 2022, authorities in Бахрейна, Дубая and the free zone Абу-Даби granted the company approval to operate. The platform also announced the launch of a regulated exchange in Таиланде and announced the opening of a customer service center in Turkey.
Earlier, Binance filed an application for a license in Japan four years after abandoning plans to open a headquarters in the country, according to media.
