Bitcoin mining difficulty hits a record high

As a result of another recalculation mining difficulty of the leading cryptocurrency rose by 3.55%. The metric hit a record high of 64.68 T.

The average hash rate over the period since the previous adjustment stood at 479 EH/s. The inter-block interval was just over 9.5 minutes.

According to Glassnode, on November 5 the smoothed 7-day moving average reached a maximum of 475.9 EH/s. Since then it has corrected and, at the time of writing, stands at 454.9 EH/s.

According to Hashrate Index, over the last 24 hours хешпрайс fell from $83.1 per PH per day to $80.6.

In November, CoinGecko compiled a ranking of miners by the volume of bitcoins held. Marathon Digital Holdings leads with 13,726 BTC in reserve, followed by Hut 8 Mining.
