Bitget Celebrates Women’s Contributions to Web3 and Concludes Blockchain4Her Initiative
On the eve of International Women’s Day, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget concluded the first year of its Blockchain4Her (B4H) programme, designed to promote gender equality and increase the number of women in the blockchain industry. As part of the initiative, the exchange introduced a symbolic B4H brooch, according to a press release.
The design of the accessory is inspired by Mărțișor, a traditional celebration of spring in Moldova and Romania.

The first event where Bitget presented the brooches to participants of the initiative was the Crypto Expo in Romania. They will also be distributed at all B4H events and to nominees of the Blockchain4Her Awards.
“The red and white thread attached to a small symbol represents the arrival of spring, hope, renewal, and new beginnings. This resonates with the mission of Blockchain4Her and the spirit of International Women’s Day. In the future, the initiative will continue to inspire, support, and empower women in the blockchain industry,” the press release states.
At the event, Bitget announced the launch of the Blockchain4Her mentorship programme. This initiative will help women aspiring to develop in the Web3 field find experienced mentors. The mentors will include B4H ambassadors and Blockchain4Her Awards laureates.
“This brooch is more than just a symbol. It reflects the mindset we aim to spread, inspiring people to recognise the importance of gender equality. Visibility breeds strength: when our efforts become noticeable, their impact multiplies. The badge symbolises change, progress, and inclusivity, highlighting Bitget’s unwavering commitment to creating a truly diverse Web3 ecosystem,” stated Bitget CEO Gracy Chen.
The Blockchain4Her programme was launched in January 2024. As part of the initiative, Bitget:
- allocated $50,000 to support women-led startups;
- awarded nine outstanding women with the Blockchain4Her Awards;
- organised over 10 international meetings, attended by more than 1,000 women.
Last year, Gracy Chen spoke at a session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, where she shared her experience in promoting gender equality in the Web3 sphere.
On March 8, 2024, Bitget launched the Blockchain4Her Ambassador Programme, attracting female crypto community leaders as ambassadors. Participants included Tess Ventures founder Tess Hau, Morph CEO Cecilia Xueh, and Hacken co-founder Evgenia Broshevan.
In September, Bitget participated in the SheFi Summit in Singapore, which gathered hundreds of participants from around the world. The event featured the first presentation of the Blockchain4Her Awards, recognising five outstanding women for their contributions to the blockchain industry.
The exchange paid special attention to the Southeast Asia region by organising the Southeast Asia Blockchain4Her Awards. Recipients included Jenny Nguyen, Bea Llana, Theresa Tiandrawinata, and Cheryl Loh. A special Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award — SEA edition was given to Tasha Punyaneramitdee.
Also in 2024, Bitget launched Pitch n Slay, an initiative to fund and support women entrepreneurs. The final stage took place in November 2024 in Bangkok, where female startups competed for $100,000 from Foresight Ventures. The winners were:
- 3rd place — Anna Bech, founder of Art3mis;
- 2nd place — Doris Hernandez, co-founder of Functor Network;
- 1st place — Yulia Bainyaksina, founder of MiniMe.
