The capability is available in the latest version of the BitPay app, 12.1.0.
By the end of March, the processor plans to add support for Samsung Pay and Google Pay for Android smartphones.
“With Apple Pay, BitPay cardholders will be able to make secure purchases in stores, apps and online. There is no need to wait for a plastic card; you can add its virtual counterpart to Apple Pay,” the team said.
BitPay supports Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), as well as the stablecoins USD Coin (USDC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Paxos Standard (PAX) and Binance USD (BUSD).
In January, BitPay implemented mandatory verification for users.
