BNB Chain team launches mainnet for BNB Greenfield

The developers of BNB Chain launched the mainnet for Web3-solutions for decentralized data storage: BNB Greenfield.

During the test phase, the protocol processed 200,000 transactions from 150,000 wallets.

\n\n\n\n

BNB Greenfield offers fast data upload and download, as well as robust privacy protections. Among other features of the new solution:

\n\n\n\n

• cross-chain programmability;

\n\n\n\n

• data monetisation and exchange capabilities.

According to the BNB Chain team, the platform could benefit developers, data administrators, business owners, content creators and other users.

\n\”BNB Greenfield easily connects to BNB Smart Chain, creating a new generation of dapps and information products. We believe in a future that will give Web3 users full control over their data,\” the developers wrote.

The new solution is positioned as a decentralised alternative to traditional cloud services, reducing the risks of hacks and data losses.

Earlier, the white paper for BNB Greenfield was presented.

Earlier in September the launch of the opBNB mainnet took place.

EVM-compatible layer-2 solution is designed to democratise access to the blockchain, significantly reducing gas fees.
