Cryptocurrency market cap hits new record above $1.17 trillion

Bullish rally of digital assets sets a new record. Cryptocurrency market capitalization reached $1.175 trillion, according to CoinGecko.

More than half of the volumes of digital assets are Bitcoin — $700 billion. It is followed by Ethereum, Tether, XRP and Polkadot.

The main driver of market growth has been Ethereum, which on February 3 reached a new high above $1600. The asset’s market capitalization reached $189 billion. At the time of writing the cryptocurrency trades at around $1650.

The Ripple XRP token rose 70% over the week to $0.44.

\n

The aggregate market capitalization of Cardano reached $15.8 billion. The coin rose 42% over the week.

\n

Growth is also shown by Binance Coin with a market capitalization of $8.4 billion and ninth place by this metric on the market. At the time of writing the token trades at a new high above $58.

\nAccording to CoinGecko, in 2020 cryptocurrencies in the top 30 rose by an average of 308%, according to CoinGecko.\n
