CZ accuses Nouriel Roubini of unauthorized use of Binance logo
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said that the famed economist Nouriel Roubini used the company’s logo to promote his token without authorization.
Some people are shameless.
After attacking Binance publicly on stage a year ago, now issues a token and puts #Binance logo on their website WITHOUT permission. ??♂️? pic.twitter.com/WENaTO4tE4

The project is Atlas, in which Roubini serves as chief economist and co-founder. He promotes an investment strategy “based on artificial intelligence, machine learning, climate technologies and blockchain”.
Investors are offered returns on investments in climate-resilient real estate and infrastructure, environmentally friendly goods, as well as in short-term and inflation-linked sovereign bonds and gold.
On their official site Binance is listed alongside BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and the U.S. Treasury in the list of organisations where former members of the project’s team previously worked.
In particular, Mayur Kamat, the acting Senior Vice President of Product at Atlas, previously held the role of Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Products department at Binance.
CZ reminded that a year ago Roubini publicly criticised the exchange’s operations:
“Some people are shameless. After publicly attacking Binance a year ago, [Roubini] is now issuing a token and placing our logo on their website without permission.”
Earlier, the economist indeed described Zhao as a “ticking time bomb”, accusing him of market manipulation during the FTX incident.
Earlier, in January 2022, Roubini urged the government of El Salvador to call for impeachment of President Nayib Bukele over his investments in the first cryptocurrency.
