DappRadar Reports Record Activity in Blockchain Gaming Sector
In August, the number of unique wallets interacting daily with blockchain gaming applications reached a record 4.2 million, according to a report by DappRadar experts.
The segment accounted for 24% of the total dapps market, which saw 17 million daily users. Leading the way with a 29% share were AI-oriented applications like DIN and Alaya AI, categorized by researchers under “Other.”

The blockchain gaming sector grew by 5% month-on-month, demonstrating its continued importance in the market landscape, experts noted.
“Despite the lack of sensational headlines, new games continue to launch and quickly climb the rankings, attracting users. The steady growth in both activity and game launches indicates that the industry is far from stagnant,” they emphasized.
The segment is dominated by the Ronin sidechain, with 1.32 million active daily users, thanks to popular applications like Pixels and Forgotten Runiverse.
However, in terms of dapps, KGeN on Base emerged as the leader, averaging 2.36 million daily unique wallets. Analysts noted that most top-ranked projects maintained stable figures, implementing gradual changes without major upgrades.

“This suggests that many top games are focused on enhancing user experience rather than introducing new features. Such a strategy maintains community engagement without disrupting existing gameplay,” noted DappRadar specialists.
In terms of NFT trading volumes and the number of traders, the application Gods Unchained stood out. In August, the project team launched two time-limited game formats, sustaining user interest.
The game Guild of Guardians also recorded a “significant” number of active traders.
According to DappRadar, investments in the segment reached $50 million for the month, a 117% increase from the previous period. Most of the funding was directed towards studios, indicating a focus on infrastructure development.
“Despite this influx of capital, the gaming industry as a whole is experiencing a relative lull. The once-bustling hype around blockchain games seems to have waned, with fewer high-profile announcements and projects making headlines,” experts acknowledged.
In August, developers of Notcoin announced the launch of a new clicker game on Telegram called Lost Dogs.
