Huobi to Delist Seven Privacy-Focused Cryptocurrencies
On 19 September, the Huobi cryptocurrency exchange will delist seven privacy-focused coins. This is stated in the blog.
The decision concerns Dash (DASH), Decred (DCR), Firo (FIRO), Monero (XMR), Verge (XVG), Zcash (ZEC) and Horizen (ZEN). Trading of these assets was halted on 6 September, deposits on 12 September. The withdrawal option remains available.
“Huobi Global strictly adheres to the compliance policy of each country and region and always strives to protect users’ assets,” the company emphasised.
In 2021, it emerged that the bitcoin exchange Kraken would halt XMR trading in the United Kingdom. At the same time, Bittrex ceased support for Monero, Dash and Zcash.
Earlier, ShapeShift delisted XMR, DSH and ZEC. The company explained the decision as due to possible regulatory issues.
In February 2022, Huobi announced its return to the U.S. market after more than two years’ absence.
