Illegal Irkutsk casino shut down, with cryptocurrency mining uncovered.

The Interior Ministry, together with the Rosgvardiya special forces, dismantled an illegal casino in Irkutsk, where cryptocurrency mining was also carried out.

According to local media, the venue was located in the basement of an administrative building. Access to it was restricted to a limited circle of people.

During the operation, law enforcement officers seized 52 computers fitted with gaming equipment, 11 mining devices, firearms and documents.

A criminal case has been opened regarding the illegal organization and conduct of gambling.

Last year, the Cherepovets police closed illegal casinos, operating under the guise of bitcoin exchanges.
