Mysten Labs deny rumours of Sui Network airdrop
The Sui Network protocol does not plan to, and has never intended to, conduct a token airdrop. This was stated by Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder and chief product officer of Mysten Labs.
Stop spreading nonsense. There is NO Sui Airdrop. Not planned or ever will be.

A Twitter user with the handle rektfencer suggested that a SUI airdrop could be “the greatest in the history of cryptocurrencies.” However Abiodun asked to “stop spreading nonsense”.
The Mysten Labs team, which is working on the platform, has repeatedly stated since 2021 that it does not intend to distribute coins.

But some interested parties refuse to believe the developers and are holding out for a distribution.
Did he say the airdrop was confirmed? No
Are you sure there will never be an airdrop?— Mogambo.stark (@0xMogambo) April 10, 2023
Did he say the airdrop was confirmed? No — are you sure there will never be an airdrop?,” — the user writes.
In December 2022, the Sui Foundation revealed details of the native token distribution after the mainnet launch. More than 50% of issuance will be directed to the project’s development.
Earlier in November, the Sui team launched the first testnet Wave 1. In January 2023, to test the underlying tokenomics mechanisms, Mysten Labs implemented the second iteration of the debugging blockchain.
At the end of March, the Mysten Labs team launched the “permanent testnet” of Sui Network, which will continue after the mainnet launch. The launch of the mainnet is planned for the second quarter of this year.
