According to the announcement, the JamboPhone is designed as an affordable device to engage users from developing countries in the digital economy.
The smartphone is priced at $99 and is available for purchase in 40 jurisdictions.

The JamboPhone serves as a “bridge” to the Aptos ecosystem through pre-installed applications such as the blockchain-compatible Petra wallet and the Jambo App.
The native application is described by the partners as the “cornerstone” of the smartphone’s functionality. Jambo Technology’s solution offers users comprehensive interaction with Web3, including educational content, DeFi features, games, and a suite of learning tools.
Developer Brent Vale from Aptos Labs announced his purchase of a JamboPhone. A screenshot revealed his order number as 10,144.
