Employee at a major Samara company transferred 1.3 million rubles to Bitcoin scammers

A 50-year-old resident of Samara became a victim of scammers who offered profits from cryptocurrency investments, according to the local police.

The victim works as a senior specialist at a large regional company. He received the invitation to invest in securities and digital assets by phone.

After the investor wired 1.3 million rubles to the broker’s account, the scammer stopped taking his calls.

A criminal case has been opened.

Earlier, a resident of Troitsk fell victim to sham brokers. He transferred almost half a million rubles to the scammers.
