FTX traders peg Trump’s odds of winning the U.S. election at 15%

Traders on the FTX derivatives exchange reckon that Donald Trump’s odds of winning the U.S. election do not exceed 15%, although six hours ago the situation was almost the opposite. The TRUMP futures price is falling on news that the incumbent president’s opponent, Joe Biden, is winning in the swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin.

On election day, traders placed bets on a swift Biden victory and assessed his chances at 64%, but Trump’s successes in Florida and Texas briefly changed their minds.

The daily volume of futures trading on the election outcome on FTX has already surpassed $30 million.
