NBA star Stephen Curry becomes ambassador for the FTX cryptocurrency exchange

Three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry has become an ambassador for the FTX cryptocurrency exchange.

As part of a long-term partnership, Curry also became a shareholder of FTX Trading Limited.

“I am pleased to collaborate with a company that demystifies the crypto industry and eliminates the intimidation factor for newcomers,” said the basketball player.

According to the press release, FTX chief Sam Bankman-Fried noted that after meeting Curry he deemed the athlete perfectly suited for the collaboration with the trading platform.

Earlier, the basketball player asked Twitter users for advice about cryptocurrencies. The community recommended Bitcoin.

Curry plays for the Golden State Warriors and the United States national team. In late August he purchased a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for 55 ETH ($180,000 at the time of the deal).

Earlier, the Golden State Warriors released a series of digital rings and ticket stubs as non-fungible tokens.

Earlier in June, NFL quarterback Tom Brady became a shareholder and ambassador of FTX.
