
Official damages in Finiko pyramid case exceed 1 billion rubles
The amount of damages claimed by victims in the Finiko financial pyramid case has tripled and surpassed 1 billion rubles. reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The ministry was approached by 3,300 depositors, among them Russian citizens and representatives of foreign states — Germany, Austria, Hungary, the United States and others.
The central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will oversee the investigation.
According to independent experts, the real damage exceeds $4 billion, with no fewer than 850,000 victims.
As part of the Finiko fraud investigation, founder Kirill Doronin, ‘vice-presidents’ Ilgiz Shakirov and Dina Gabdullina, and Lilia Nurieva, who holds the status of ‘ten-star’ have been arrested.
Three company co-founders – Zygmunt Zygmuntowicz, Edward and Marat Sabirov – have been placed on an international wanted list and arrested in absentia.
