ZigZag DEX to airdrop governance token

Decentralized exchange ZigZag анонсировала аирдроп for early followers. The criteria for token recipients will be determined by the token sale participants.

The sale of the crypto asset under the ticker ZZ will begin on June 24. For the token sale, 2 million tokens are allocated from a total supply of 100 million coins. USDC will be accepted as payment.

Buyers of the new asset will become members of ZigZag DAO. One of the first tasks of the decentralized autonomous organization will be to determine the terms of the airdrop.

The developers cited the motive for such a decision as the problem of “airdrop farming,” when a large number of users try to game the system and obtain tokens almost for free.

There have been hundreds of thousands of wallets with interactions on our platform. For obvious reasons it is not practical to airdrop every single one of those wallets.

Therefore a certain set of eligibility and criteria has to be decided upon for this token reward.

Идею использования ДАО команда биржи пояснила нежеланием «быть централизованной стороной, диктующей критерии».

Одной из причин проведения аирдропа стали потери проекта из-за краха Terra. Разработчики пояснили, что интеграция алгоритмического стейблкоина UST повлияла на финансовые показатели ZigZag.

Having sufficient capital to maintain our developers’ payroll is another priority for the growth of ZigZag Exchange.

«Одна из целей в контексте этого аирдропа — восстановление достаточного объема средств для выполнения наших обязательств. Наличие достаточного капитала для оплаты труда разработчиков — еще один приоритет для роста биржи», – заявили представители платформы.

Задействованные в ZigZag технологии используют доказательства с нулевым разглашением для масштабирования и повышенной приватности транзакций. Разработчики надеются со временем добиться пропускной способности в 250 000 транзакций в секунду и, таким образом, «превзойти Nasdaq».

В июне разработчики кроссчейн-моста Hop Protocol провели аирдроп токенов управления HOP.
