Qmall launches native-token airdrop
On December 1, the Ukrainian crypto exchange Qmall launched an airdrop, during which it will distribute native tokens worth 20 million hryvnias. The campaign will run until February 1, 2022, according to a press release.
To participate in the airdrop, you need to register on the platform, subscribe to its social channels, and make the first deposit. After that, 500 hryvnias worth of Qmall tokens will be automatically credited to the new client’s account.
The exchange’s native token QML can be used to pay trading fees, earn from staking, and participate in voting.
The exchange collaborates with IBOX Bank, through whose terminals accounts can be topped up. Qmall plans to launch a platform for conducting token sales.
Earlier in September, the Verkhovna Rada passed in the second reading and in full the law ‘On Virtual Assets’, regulating cryptocurrency operations.
However, in early October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vetoed the document and demanded its revision, taking into account his proposals on market regulators.
At the end of the month, the updated law was recommended for adoption by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Digital Transformation. Lawmakers have not yet considered the document.
