A spokesman for Marvel-Distribution, Andrey Kirichevsky, told Kommersant that demand for graphics cards has been rising since the start of August.
\n
In the Citilink store network, sales of graphics cards capable of being used for mining rose by 49% in monetary terms.

NVIDIA reported a doubling of sales compared with the same period last year. The company linked this to the appearance of new games and applications that require upgraded devices.
\n
Overall, PC component sales rose significantly over the summer, market participants said.
\n
However, despite the current surge in sales, experts expect that the growth for the full year 2020 will not be significant.
