Tezos Ukraine and Baking Bad to hold workshop with a $1,500 prize fund

On September 30, ForkLog and Tezos Ukraine published a free course on Tezos blockchain development. On October 14, representatives of Tezos Ukraine and Baking Bad will hold a workshop based on the course materials with a prize fund of $1,500.

The livestream of the workshop will begin at 18:00 (MSK) on ForkLog’s YouTube channel. Among the speakers are Tezos Ukraine co-founders Mikhail Tsybulyak and Sergey Vasilychuk, and Baking Bad developer Stepan Naumov. Registration is not required.

Mikhail and Sergey will discuss the course, the Tezos blockchain and the Tezos Ukraine organisation, while Stepan will deliver a lecture on smart-contract testing and creating interfaces for blockchain applications.

At the end of the workshop, the speakers will publish an assignment for viewers. The authors of the three best solutions will receive $500 each in XTZ.

The course Blockchain development on Tezos: from constants to contract deployment is designed for beginners. It covers several topics: the principles of smart contracts, the basic syntax of the LIGO language, interaction with the blockchain and token issuance on the Tezos network.

Each lesson consists of theoretical and practical parts. To complete the assignments you will need a computer with internet access. You do not need to buy cryptocurrency: tokens for paying transaction fees can be obtained in the Tezos testnet.

As reported, Crypto Finance, InCore Bank and Inacta have agreed to use the Tezos standard for asset tokenisation.
