Trezor adds Solana and SPL token support
The hardware-wallet maker Trezor added support for Solana and SPL-tokens.
New options are available on the Model T and Safe 3, priced at $179 and $79 respectively. On the company’s site, it states that the devices support more than 8,000 crypto assets.
SPL is the token standard on the Solana blockchain, analogous to ERC-20 for Ethereum.
Solana’s integration into popular hardware wallets comes amid the ongoing rally in cryptocurrencies. As of writing, the asset is trading around $84, having recently overtaken XRP in market capitalization.
Since the beginning of October, SOL’s price has risen by more than 260%.

From October to December, Google searches for ‘Solana’ rose by 250%.
Earlier in October, Trezor unveiled new gadgets: Trezor Safe 3, the eponymous device focused solely on Bitcoin, and Trezor Keep Metal — a solution for backing up the seed phrase.
