Twitter adds Bitcoin and Ethereum price-chart widgets

Twitter developers have added a feature that displays price charts for the most popular cryptocurrencies in response to relevant search queries.

Users can enter the name or ticker of a digital asset in the search tab.

As of writing, support for tickers of other cryptocurrencies, including Dogecoin, had not been implemented. The feature, however, works for their full names.

The initiative develops the so-called $Cashtags — a combination of the $ symbol and the ticker or name of a public company or ETF. In response to such a search query, the platform will display a chart and a link to Robinhood, through which one can obtain a snapshot of the asset. The parties did not disclose details of any possible collaboration.
