Ulyanovsk resident transferred nearly 2 million rubles to unknown individuals in bid to profit from cryptocurrency trading

The criminals, posing as employees of an investment company, lured a resident of Ulyanovsk out of nearly 2 million rubles. They promised him profits from selling cryptocurrencies, according to МВД.

The unknown suspects assured the man that they would take 10% of every cryptocurrency sale, and he would receive 90% of the profits.

\n

As a result, the victim took out two loans totaling 1,787,000 rubles and transferred funds to unknown accounts. In total, he lost more than 1,956,000 rubles.

Earlier, residents of Buryatia fell victim to scammers. They lost a total of 3 million rubles in an attempt to profit from cryptocurrency trading.
