Cronos DeFi ecosystem liquidity nears $2.5 billion

The total value locked (TVL) in the Cronos ecosystem reached $2.46 billion, according to DeFi Llama.

The screenshot below shows Cronos surpassing Osmosis, Polkadot and Harmony in TVL.

Over the past seven days, the strongest growth was in the TVLs of the AMM-exchange MM Finance and the yield aggregator MM Optimizer — their TVLs rose by 53% and 63%, respectively.

The screenshot below shows the annual yields (APY) for some MM Optimizer pools.

Cronos represents an EVM-compatible sidechain, which runs in parallel to the Crypto.org network and can interact with the Cosmos ecosystem. The platform is positioned as a highly scalable network for DeFi, NFTs and the metaverses.

The Cronos beta launch took place on November 8.

Earlier in January, the liquidity of the Osmosis DeFi platform based on Cosmos exceeded $1 billion.
