Binance suspends direct withdrawals to ruble cards

Russian Binance users have reported that for several weeks they have been unable to withdraw funds to ruble cards. The exchange cites technical reasons.

The platform is working on integrating a new fiat gateway, but the timetable for restoring ruble withdrawals is unclear.

“The integration process is taking a long time. We will publish a separate notice as soon as the function for direct ruble withdrawals to cards is restored,” said Binance representatives in a comment to ForkLog.

They noted that rubles can be withdrawn through the Payeer and Advcash systems.

The support desk advised users to use the P2P platform, though that option is not suitable for everyone.

Binance added ruble support in October 2019 in partnership with Advcash. In December of the same year ruble trading pairs appeared on the platform.

In February 2020 Binance opened the ability to buy cryptocurrencies with a Visa card for rubles.

In September 2020 Roskomnadzor notified the exchange of inclusion in the register of banned sites, but by January 2021 the court overturned this decision.

Earlier, Ukrainian monobank suspended accepting SEPA payments from Binance due to a ban by foreign intermediary banks.
