US pharmacies begin selling COVID-19 tests for Bitcoin

American company Progressive Care began accepting bitcoin as payment for COVID-19 rapid testing.

Tests can be purchased with cryptocurrency via a QR code. The service is available at PharmcoRx pharmacies.

The company stressed that it believes in the future of blockchain and wants to offer testing for those with an alternative view of payment systems.

Progressive Care noted that the new option would appear ahead of the large Bitcoin 2021 conference, which is expected to draw more than 50,000 attendees.

As reported in April, the Swiss unit of AXA Group, one of the world’s largest insurers, added the ability to pay in Bitcoin.
